The wildlife reserve Caño Negro is one of the most important reserves for incredible bird watching and observation of wildlife in Costa Rica. Caño Negro is also home for many sloths, monkeys, caimans, bats as well as numerous tropical plants.

COMBO TOUR: Tabacón Hot Springs + Hanging Bridges + La Fortuna Waterfall + Arenal Volcano Hike

You will start the tour visiting the hanging bridges option consists of a hike on a 1.9 mile (3.1 km) trail on which you can enjoy the rainforests flora and fauna. The trail crosses nine fixed bridges and six suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of seven degrees so that anyone can walk it. Our next stop is the La Fortuna Waterfall.
From the trailhead you will hike approximately 15 minutes before reaching this majestic waterfall where you can swim or just enjoy its beauty. Lunch is next and Lava Rocks Restaurant is the place. Following lunch you’ll have the opportunity to rest until 3 pm before embarking on the volcano hike.
We will choose one of several trails depending on which side of the volcano the lava is coming down and on all the trails you will see a wide variety of plants and wildlife. ATV Tour

We left the hotel La Pradera to the farm in front of the hotel on trails over pastures reaching the volcano where a brief stop is made to appreciate the spectacular view of La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano, after enjoying the excellent route off road , we went to the Arenal river passing through the village of La Guaira to cross this river and there you can enjoy drinks and a refreshing swim, so restore and move to the restaurant located in our facilities where we expect a delicious lunch or dinner.

Hiking to Rio Celeste

We depart from La Fortuna in the morning for this fascinating adventure combining the magic of a turquoise river, in the nature, with the opportunity to observe the wonderful flora and fauna. The tour lasts approximately 8 hours all together and on clear days you can get a view of Tenorio and Miravalles Volcanoes.

The Rio Celeste is one of the most beautiful areas of Costa Rica. On the way we will stop to rest in a picturesque village and then continue towards the “Rio Celeste” in the Tenorio Volcano National Park. Arriving at the park we will launch a hike into the forest with the option of visiting the famous Rio Celeste waterfall, impressive not for its size but for its unique colors, a great place to take pictures. Later you can continue to the point where mother nature magically mixes the water of two streams of crystalline water, changing color of the water into a beautiful, bright blue light (hence the name “Rio Celeste”).The hike through the mountains runs rough roads in the jungle discovering the best of its flora and fauna throughout the route.
